Getting Beach Ready

If you don't have a friend who says "I'm picking up your kid tomorrow so you can get things done and get ready for the beach," you are missing out. I thank God for our sweet Becca, not just because she gave me an entire afternoon to get things done, but also because she is one of the sweetest, selfless, thoughtful people I know. Becca and I met in college at UA. She just so happened to be from Russellville, and we just happened to move to the area. She married "Daniel-ly" and moved back. I am so very thankful that God put us 15 minutes apart at this time in our lives and that my baby girl gets the chance to love her and be loved by her.

Avery Claire's favorite thing to do now is ride "fru da neighborhood!" I have to sit in the back and she sits in front with Daddy, buckled, of course. It absolutely tickles her...We love it because it excites her immensely!

Becca and Daniel wore her out yesterday. I took her to the store hoping she would fall asleep on the way home. We didn't make it to the store. 

So I did what any redneck mother would do. I got a couple towels and put her in the buggy and went about my shopping business!

Sunday Chill

Silly, sweet girl after church (and after bow removal!)...

We ran to Walmart. it had rained and was kind of cool(er) so we ran by McDonald's for coffee and hot chocolate. She relaxed and enjoyed hers very much!

Horton Hears a Who and My Matt & Sarah

We went to the movie this morning and saw Horton Hears a Who. We made it about an hour this time!

We had some errands to run, and when we went from Target to Ulta, which is literally 4 stores down the sidewalk, I let Avery Claire ride in the middle beside Barbie. Why does she look so grown up?!

We ran into our old Russellville neighbors at the mall and got to sit down and have lunch with them. Connor will be 6 at the end of the month, and when we moved into our house there, Emily was very pregnant with him.

We had surprise visitors today! Matt and Sarah were coming through on their way home from Kentucky and stopped to spend the night. I know one girl who couldn't have been more excited!

Whenever Avery Claire talks about Matt and Sarah, she always says "my Matt and Sawah." It's very sweet!

SAM's

Miss Cranky Pants and I ran errands Saturday morning, after she threw a colossal fit because I asked her to try to pee before we left...

You wouldn't know it, though, right? Sometimes we just wake up on the wrong side of the bed, I guess. 

We went to Sam's for the sole purpose of letting my husband look for pistachios. He was introduced to these certain pistachios by his friend Jason. According to the price, they are gourmet. 

Someone was so sleepy and ill, we just hoped she made the 15 minute ride to Sam's. 

She didn't want me to take her picture. 

She perked up when she saw all of the good deals we found at Sam's. why don't we go more often?!

She didn't make the 15 minute ride home!

We did find the pistachios. One bag is ours and when Jason heard about the great price, he needed a bag, too! 

Dusty and Avery Claire are excited about our beach trip because they bought this bag especially for "da beach," and they've managed not to open it so far!
