Happy 9th Anniversary & Happy Father's Day

I had planned to {and always do} separate posts for these two occasions. But this year, they are so close together and celebrating another year married and celebrating what an awesome Daddy Dusty is just seemed to go hand-in-hand.
We celebrated our 9th anniversary Wednesday. Although I don't need a reminder of how much I love Dusty, I was reminded when I asked him Wednesday evening if a grilled cheese was good for dinner and he didn't bat an eye when he said "yes." I bought him this card for Father's Day and it could not be more perfect.
Y'all, I thought I loved him when I married in 2005. I had no idea. And not just because he is all of those things to me {which I so desparately need}. He takes care of us girls, he always thinks of us first. The past year has not been the easiest, and he has made me so proud to call him mine. I love seeing him be the best Daddy to our baby girl and cannot wait to see him with our baby boy.

Dusty, here's the message Avery Claire "chalked" for you. There is no greater compliment from this girl than a "chalked" message AND a rainbow heart.

We love you much, D. We are so proud you are ours. Thanks for all you do for us. God couldn't have blessed me more than He did when he gave me our little family and let me do life with you.

20 Weeks

How Far Along: 20 weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 weighs about 10.5 ounces and is about 10 inches long from head to heel - about the size of a banana.
Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Around 10 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes!
Gender: It's a boy! We even double checked Tuesday at my dr.'s appointment.
Movement: Yes, especially at night when I lay down. Or maybe that's the only time I'm still enough to feel it so much.
Sleep: I've been sleeping great! I even sleep through the night some nights!
Cravings:  White Cheddar Cheez-Its!
Symptoms: The acne, still, although I've seen a little bit of improvement. And heartburn.
Best Moment this week: I went for my 20 week ultrasound/scan this week, and Baby Boy is perfect. He is measuring about 4 days ahead - that doesn't mean my due date changes; it just means baby is a little big.

Squeezing in Some Water Fun Amid the Rain

Avery Claire started swimming lessons Monday morning. It poured right before and for a few minutes during her lesson. We had a little bit of sunshine that afternoon, so we hit the splash pad. We pretty much had the place to ourselves!

It seems like it rained pretty much all day Tuesday and Wednesday. We had planned to go to our pool every day after lessons to "practice," but the weather did not allow! So, today, she was thrilled when I told her I thought the sun was going to be out all day and we could go to the "big pool," as she calls it. She was tickled and kept saying "I'm having too much fun!" And when she said "thank you, Mama, for bringing me here, every penny of that membership fee was worth it.
