She's Busy & She's Loud

Here are a few videos that were on my camera that I haven't uploaded...

Our Afternoons

I usually pick Avery Claire up from daycare around 3:45. If we have any errands to run (WalMart, chiropractor), we do those right after I pick her up. Then we head home. Avery Claire always has cereal from head to toe from breakfast and lunch, even in her nose sometimes!

We play for a little bit...

Notice the socks! And the dirty clothes! And the dry cereal on her face!




Then Avery Claire gets a bath.

We dry her hair.


Avery Claire usually sleeps from 5:00ish to 6:15ish. I know we have to cut this nap out soon, but as long as she still sleeps at night, we let her nap this late. All of the books we read say not to keep your child up just to play. The books say that babies should go to bed early so they'll sleep longer. I know that one day, we may have to cut out the nap and bump bedtime up, but we're the selfish parents that want a little more time with our sweet girl before she goes to bed.
Daddy gets home and we play a little more. Avery Claire eats her cereal/food and has a bottle.


We read a few books.


Avery Claire has another small bottle and goes to bed (usually) between 8:00 and 8:30. Mommy wakes her up at 6:15 every morning to get ready for daycare!

We have the best life!

Just a Swingin'

Avery Claire LOVES to swing at daycare. This was taken last week (and just never got posted). This week has been too windy and rainy for the kiddos to go outside.


She makes this face every time the swing goes down!

Mrs. Brittany and Mrs. Teresa get tickled at Avery Claire because she loves to swing high and fusses when the swing slows down. As soon as they give her a good push, she squeals!

Happy 7 Months!

Avery Claire, at 7 months, you:

- weigh 17 pounds, 13 ounces (as of last Friday).


- take 5 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours.
- LOVE cereal!
- love to "talk!" When your mouth is open in a picture, it's probably because you were trying to tell us something. You say "Hi" when we say it to you, and sometimes you whisper "Bye-bye."



- have the very best Daddy a little girl could ask for! He loves you so much! And you think he is the funniest, best thing ever! Mommy's heart melts!

You like to be busy with Mommy, but you will just sit with Daddy.

- have started saying "Da-Da" lately. Sometimes you look right at your Daddy and say it, sometimes you say it when he's not around. We aren't sure if you know what you're saying, and Mommy likes to kid Daddy that it's the easiest thing to say. But when you look at him and say it, I can't help but wonder!


- put everything that is within reach in your mouth. If you can't find anything else, your fingers will do!




- are so loved by your Mommy! I never knew the depth of the love I'd feel for you, and I never knew how amazed I'd be by you. I love every second that we spend together and I think you're the most perfect, precious little girl in the whole world!


(Avery Claire is not scared of Mommy! The camera beeps with the self-timer until the flash goes off, and she can't quite figure out what the beeping is.)

- LOVE to read! This thrills Mommy! Your favorite thing to do is try to turn the pages by yourself! Your favorite book is the one Dr. Colvard gave you (Little Feet Like).



- have figured out how to jump in the jumper and like to turn circles.







- have 2 teeth on the bottom.


- are a wild sleeper! You tend to stay in the top of your bed, but you are all over the top!


-tried out the bath helper Aunt B. sent you. You loved it! I'm not sure how clean you got (it's a little harder to bathe you), but you thought you were such a big girl!


- love to stand up!


- are becoming so independent. We get so tickled at you because sometimes, when we try to give you a paci, you act like you don't want it. Then we put it right beside you, and you reach for it and put it in by yourself. Aren't you a little young for the "I can do it all by myself stage"?

- love your remote!


- love your Exersaucer! It might be your favorite thing to do right now (besides read).







- are so sweet and happy when we go in to get you up in the mornings or from your naps. You don't love to be woken up, though!


- are getting new hair, and it's so sweet and fuzzy! Here's how it looks when you wake up sometimes - it's everywhere!


- are so silly and funny! Your little personality emerges more everyday, and we love it! We would love to know what you are trying to say when you "talk."

- are beautiful! Your smile absolutely melts Mommy and Daddy's hearts!


- have started getting up on yours hands and knees and rocking this week. Before we know it, you'll be everywhere!



Diaper changes have become a two-person job! We have to wrestle you to get your diaper changed - you are too busy to be still!


- think it's hilarious when we clap for you! And we do it all the time (even when you're just playing on the floor).

- are so loved! You could not be more perfect and funny and precious and beautiful! You have made our lives complete. We can't remember life without you. We ask each other all of the time what we did before we had you in our lives. We thank God that He gave you to us!

I knew taking pictures with Froggy would get harder as you got older!
