Cutest little cow you've ever seen, coming right up....
We couldn't get her to smile for the camera. And she didn't "mooooo" once all night. But she enjoyed trick or treating at our two stops! Avery Claire quite enjoyed her sucker at Suzanne & Matt's. Suzanne, we are sorry if there are sticky handprints all over the wall! She became terrified by a scary skeleton costume, which surprised us because she not much scares her. It was very scary, though! She was saying her version of "trick or treat" by the time we got the my old teaching friend Gina's house.
She spotted Gracie the convict... Avery Claire loves Gracie!! After a Reese cup, chocolate Frosted Flakes, and sugary drink, I figured she'd be too hyped up to sleep. Nope. She was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Halloween is tiring!!
When we were young, one of our Halloween traditions was carving a pumpkin. Last year, Avery Claire was too little to appreciate it, but I definitely wanted to start that tradition this year. I'm sure our carving day went much like it did when I was little and my dad worked on the carving the pumpkin{s} while Matt and I ran around outside and played. the finished product {please look for the little girl pitching a fit in the garage!!}
This weekend, Mema and Nana came for a visit. We went to a Kevin Graben's wedding and did not take one picture! It was beautiful!! We tried to get a few pictures before the grandmas left yesterday. Avery Claire and her Daddy watched the race Sunday afternoon. I made cupcakes for school and guess who needed one? She loved the icing, but didn't really want to touch it.
Life just gets busier and blogging just falls to the wayside!! I'm putting lots in this post so I can be caught up for Halloween tomorrow. Then it'll probably take me a week to post Halloween pictures. Last weekend, we went to Clay County for a visit. Me, Nana, Mema, and Avery Claire went to Barrett Farms in Heflin Saturday. Avery Claire enjoyed the petting zoo, picking out a pumpkin, and going on a hayride. She probably enjoyed looking at the cows in the pasture there more than anything!
Sleepy girl on a hayride...
Daddy and Papa had a BIG day Sunday. The NASCAR race was in Talladega and the Budweiser man hooked Papa up with Hot passes and more! Kevin Harvick is the driver for Bud, so they met him at his motorcoach that morning. They toured the garage and saw lots of important racing people {and equipment}. Richard Childress Chad Knauss Rick Hendrick Laker's player {Bynum} Then they got to sit on Harvick's pit box with the crew chief, Gil, and Harvick's wife Delana. From here, they could see ESPN's Jamie Little And an up close and personal pit stop They watched the rest of the race from the comfort of the Bud suite. My husband was in heaven. He loved every second. Papa said he loved watching Dusty enjoy the day so much. Dusty said he couldn't even put a price on it, but if he had to pay for the experience, he would have probably shelled out two grand!! The ONLY thing that could have made it any better was if he had met Jeff Gordon {did you think he was going to say the only thing that could have made it better was if his wife was there to share it with him?!}.
