Avery Claire, at 3 weeks you are:
- really starting to notice Mommy and Daddy and things around you. You like to lay on your playmat and look up at the animals hanging in front of you. We love to watch you look around.
- weighing in at 8.9 lbs (on the field house scale)
- a good sleeper at night! You sleep better at night than you do during the day, which is exactly how Mommy and Daddy prefer it!
- had your first taste of formula today. You just aren't getting full from Mommy's milk, so we're supplementing a little extra so you'll be satisfied. You don't seem to notice the difference, and you seem to be more satisfied!
- still love your bath. Your umbilical cord is still barely hanging on, so we're still bathing you at the sink. We think you're really going to like a bath when you can sit in the water!
- still have all of your hair, and it's starting to lighten up. Mommy's praying you keep it all!
- are starting to grab on to things, like Mommy's hair and Daddy's Red Sox necklace.
- do not like a wet or dirty diaper. You let us know when you need to be changed!
- went on your first real outing (that didn't include a dr. visit) to eat lunch at Sweet Peppers with Mommy and Daddy today. You slept the whole time and never even knew we left home. You got lots of "cute baby" compliments while we were there.
- are more and more precious to Mommy and Daddy every day. Just when we think are hearts are about to bust, we love you even more!! We can't imagine how we ever lived without you!
