Tuesday, Avery Claire had her 4 month check-up...and shots!! Daddy went with us, and it was a good thing because we were there for TWO HOURS!! It took both of us to entertain her for that long in a doctor's office! We weren't as bad off as the lady with year old twins and a four year old who had to wait, also! We had to wait for one hour, at which point we had to go ahead and feed Avery Claire. Of course they called us back in the middle of the bottle, so she was not happy when we took it away from her to undress and weigh her!
Avery Claire weighed 14 pounds, 9 ounces (after she'd just taken 3 ounces of her bottle). She was 24 & 3/4 inches long - Dr. C. says she's a long and lanky girl - he thinks she might be a tall girl!! WooooHoooo! We hope so!
Here we are after we saw Dr. C. and before we had shots...would you have wanted to be the nurse who had to walk in and wake this baby up to give her 3 shots?! She did very well...cried at the top of her lungs for about 30 seconds, whimpered a few more times, and fell back asleep.
We ran a few errands and came home with a happy little girl who got to try something new!! We'll tell you all about that tomorrow!

Dusty knocked down a red wasp nest a few days ago and killed several wasps. We thought they were gone, until he found another nest yesterday...Check out the larvae that's hatching and about ready to fly away....gross!!

First of all, eww on the wasp nest! Second, Avery Claire's little blue outfit is way adorable! And 3rd, I bet you were p.o.'d at the dr's office. IDK what my baby would do if we were there for that long.
