Avery Claire, at five months, you:
- weigh 16.8 lbs.
- wear mostly 3-6 month clothes.
- are still drinking a 4 oz bottle every 3 hours...we should probably try to get you to drink more less often, but Dr. Colvard says if it's working, leave it that way!!
- are sleeping through the night again! You were doing so good, then you had a runny/stuffy nose, and your sleeping habits got messed up! Thankfully, you're back on track this week!
- do the funniest things with your mouth!
- are officially a belly sleeper. The first night you tried it, Mommy and Daddy flipped you over to your back about 5 times. By the time we'd get back to our room, you'd be on your belly again!! Mommy has lost quite a bit of sleep waking up to make sure you're still breathing, but we've given up trying to make you sleep on your back. And we're glad you have options now!
- are a master at rolling over from your back to your belly (which every book says is harder!). But you still have trouble sometimes getting from your belly to your back, which makes you mad!
- have had your first cold - you never acted fussy, you just couldn't breathe - Mommy and Daddy felt so sorry for you!
- LOVE your bath! You kick and squeal and splash...it's getting harder and harder for Mommy to bathe you by herself because you squirm around in your tub. I need an extra hand and we'd be okay!
- have lost some of your hair. I think it's coming back in pretty fast, but there's been lots of hair in your bed in the mornings!
- are curious - you love to try to figure things out...like how you could undo the hooks on your seat!
- love to relax in your swing. As you can see, we've had to start buckling you in because you scoot around!
- hate to be covered up, so you sleep in footie p.j.'s...which Mommy secretly loves - there's nothing sweeter than you sleeping in that bed in your footie pajamas!

- are a great eater! You love your cereal. You also like pears, apples, bananas, prunes (!), peas, and squash. You are not a big fan of peaches or sweet peas.
- attended your first football game - you were a trooper!
- look just like your Daddy!
- gnaw on anything you can get your hands on...paci, foot, teether, whatever!
- are starting to reach up for us to pick you up! I love that!!
- like to stand up!
- love Mrs. Teresa and Mrs. Brittany at daycare!! You give them big grins every morning and you are sitting in one of their laps almost every afternoon when Mommy picks you up...you're the only baby under 1 there, so we love it that you get a little extra attention!!
- still love to be bounced to sleep! You will rock much more often now, but sometimes, Mommy bounces you...it's good exercise for my arms!
- already like our cell phones. You love to look at the screen and want to touch our phones when you see them.
- went to church and sat with Mommy and Daddy for the first time since you were teeny tiny - you did great! You even fell asleep!
- don't like sudden, loud noises - you got scared at the Kickoff supper and at church when there was loud applause! Mommy and Daddy knew a squeal/scream was coming because your eyes got big and your bottom lip puckered up!
- are such a happy baby! You smile so easily and we love it!
- are sooooo much fun! Mommy and Daddy cherish every second that we get to spend with you these days. We can't remember life before you. We hope we make you half as happy as you've made us! We love you more than you'll ever know, sweet girl!

Wow what a growth spurt in one month! Look how much longer she is!!! She is just precious! I LOVE the picture of her in her swing where she is just about to fall out of it! So funny! What kind of parents are you letting your baby fall out of her swing!! Just kidding!! It is hilarious!! I know you are both wonderful parents and Avery Claire is so lucky!!
Happy 5 Months! Avery Claire, I knew that you were really growing and the comparison pics from 4 to 5 months show it. You are the most beautiful baby ever! You have the BEST mommy and daddy and we all know how much they adore you! (as do Papa, Nana, and Uncle Matt). We Love You so very much! You have brought so much happiness and joy into our lives! Happy 5 months! She's such a doll w/such a cute personality. I like how you aren't afraid to put her in blue-it's sweet! Ans I just can't seem to get over how much her and my little boy are alike!
