...when you've spent your morning at the doctor's office getting a chest xray and blood drawn.
Dusty discovered a fever of 103.1 Thursday afternoon when he picked Avery Claire up from daycare. So, we started alternating Tylenol and Motrin. Avery Claire has had a cough for about 3 weeks - remember, we went to the doctor last Friday? This Friday, Dr. Colvard was concerned that there might be some pneumonia starting up, so he ordered a chest xray. He also ordered bloodwork to rule out anything bacterial. And we walked away with a prescription for an antibiotic (and clear lungs, thank God!).
I hope you don't start to recognize the pediatrician's office, Avery Claire, 'cause we'll have to take you in kicking and screaming!
We got home, took a bath to wash off those waiting room germs, and looked for Win.

The paci has become stuck like glue over the last couple of days! Oh, well...
We took it upon ourselves (with the advice of Dr. Tia) to give Avery Claire a couple of breathing treatments. Thanks, Emma, for sharing! We think it's helped a little so far.
We can tell our baby doesn't feel good when she snuggles like this:
Avery Claire's fever hasn't been as high as 103 again, but she just doesn't feel good. The cough is bothersome, although she is sleeping pretty good (and still sleeping all night). What a good sleeper!
We're heading back for a re-check this afternoon. We still hear a little crackle when Avery Claire breathes, but we're hoping for an all clear!!
In other news, look what arrived on our doorstep Wednesday afternoon!

Poor Avery Claire (Mommy and Daddy too!)...Luke has been taking breathing treatments since Friday and seems to be doing better. We go for a re-check Tuesday...hopefully we will get the all clear too! I will be so glad when this "sick season" is over and all of these babies are better! It's hard to believe AC is big enough for a big carseat already! E has a Britax, and we LOVE it! :)
I'm so sorry you're not feeling your best pretty girl, you usually bounce back fast and that's what I'm hoping for. You're checking out that breathing treatment... you're so beautiful and I Love you so much. Mema
Bless Avery Claire's heart!!! Breathing treatments are going on at our house, too! So fun :} I can't believe she is getting a "big girl" carseat! Now you can watch where you're going Avery Claire! Forward facing...woo-hoo!!!
Avery Claire we are so sorry you have been sick and had a fever. Hope you are feeling 100% now.
Avery Claire, Nana is so happy that you are feeling some better! I enjoyed spending the day with you on Monday! You are such a great baby! (even when you are sick)I loved every minute of our visit!! You were such a big girl taking your medicine and your breathing treatment. Nana loved all the snuggling, reading, playing, and looking for Win! I hope that you are back to feeling great so very soon! I love you, Nana
