We thought he might just be a little colicky because he was fussiest at night and seems to have a bellyache. He can be sound asleep and when we lay him down, he's wide awake. When we pick him up, he'll have huge burps or spit up.
He's not a huge spitter-upper, but you can hear him spit up and then swallow. When he cried one night taking his bottle {combined with the fact that he has cried like this for several nights}, we decided to see if we could see our pediatrician. We had enough experience with Avery Claire's reflux to know that's what he acted like he had.
So I took him today {instead of waiting for our already scheduled appointment for Monday}. Dr. Colvard immediately agreed and prescribed Prilosec. He said we could start with Zantac, but that did nothing for Avery Claire, so he said we could just start with what worked for her.
He was an angel at the doctor's office. I felt bad because I knew what was coming. He went ahead and got his 2 month shots.
He was not a happy camper after that, but he got over it pretty quickly.
Notice those leg rolls he's getting.
We're hopeful this works! I hate to watch and know he's uncomfortable and not be able to fix it. He did fall asleep by himself for the first time tonight - laying flat!! So, that's a start!

Praying that the Prilosec helps our precious baby Bennett! Our sweet boy is growing fast! Love those sweet leg rolls and his chubby cheeks! Miss my Muscle Shoals babies so much! Give them hugs and kisses from their Nana!
