- weigh between 20-21 pounds. You're long and skinny.
- are wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes. All of your 9 month shorts still fit, skinny boy.
- have eaten more "real" food. At daycare, you've tried lots of different foods. Ms. Sandra says you love pizza and graham crackers. At home, I still feed you baby food most of the time. And you love some Cheerios!
- ARE STILL SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. You had a cold the week before school started and had a couple of rough nights, and I was worried your sleep habits would be way out of whack. But, you got right back into it!
- usually take 2 naps and sometimes a quick catnap around 5-6 to help you make it to bedtime. You're taking good naps at daycare (in a bouncy seat). I was worried that you sleeping in a bouncy at daycare would make it hard to get you to sleep in your bed at home. Last weekend, your naps weren't great, but nighttime has been good, and that's what I was most worried about.
- I always read a book to you in your room while you finish a bottle and then put you in your bed. You usually lay down without crying and go to sleep. Sometimes, you might cry for a few seconds and then you're okay.
- give us high-five. You think it's so funny. You really think it's hilarious to give us double high-fives.
- love to read bedtime stories. You will sit so still and listen, and I love it.
- have to sleep with your monkey cuddler. I ordered another one so we'd have one for daycare and one for home.
- love to play peek-a-boo. You've started putting things over your face and playing with us.
- are super fast and love to be chased. You are very good at standing up and balancing.
- still love to cuddle while you sleep. You always lay right next to the rails in your bed to be close to something. You usually wake up around 6 for a bottle, and at the end of summer, we'd go back to sleep in my bed til around 8:00. That's what our weekends are still for, buddy, right?
- have four teeth. Those top two finally broke through.
- love for me to pour water over your head to rinse shampoo out of your hair. You tilt your head back and just smile while I rinse.
- LOVE your sister. She's starting to act more and more like a little mama to you, and you think she's the funniest thing around.
- have been saing "da-da-da-da" for awhile, and you've starting saying "ball" every time you see a ball. It sounds more like "bah," but we know that's what you're saying. So, I'd say the first word you really said on purpose with real intent was "ball."
- love to see other babies. You just smile and always want to touch them.
- love to drive trucks and cars. It's so funny and sweet to me to see you act like a little boy. You'll drive a little truck or tractor all around the living room.
- are so happy and laid back. You're such a friendly baby and don't meet a stranger.
- are our sweet, silly, baby boy.
