Easter Weekend

Avery Claire and Cohen got to spend some time together Friday night. She thought she had a big baby to play with. And she made him a little nervous...until he got used to her. Then he warmed up and joined right in her rowdiness!

We got up Saturday morning and headed to an Easter egg hunt at someone's house that Aunt Sarah goes to church with {I can't make that sentence sound right.}

Mattie and Abby went with us. We had so much fun. I hate that our girls live so far apart and can't play together more often. They had a ball together, which made my heart so happy.

This is the only picture I got of the bounce house. However, I wish I'd had a video of the few seconds when the breaker flipped and the house started collapsing around Mattie and Avery Claire. As long as I live, I will not be able to think about it without giggling out loud. We couldn't even rescue them for laughing so hard.

There was so much singing going on in this car. I wish we'd recorded some of it!

We headed to Mickey D's for lunch and ice cream and these girls got even sillier!

So glad they got to spend the day together!! We did manage to do some Easter egg dyeing Saturday night. By the way, baking eggs = just the same as boiling them and they don't crack! Thanks, Sarah!! Glad that one worked out or you would've never lived it down!

The bunny stopped by Sunday.

Spring Break '13

Monday was Avery Claire's birthday, so that day was filled with birthday festivities. Tuesday was about 45 degrees, so Avery Claire and I went to the mall to see the Easter bunny {she didn't sit with her after being soooooo fired up about it}. She had a couple of Target gift cards burning a hole in her pockets. She bought a hair dresser chair/kit. I think she really bought it for the teeny tiny scissors! All babies have had hair cuts!

We ran in Publix that day, too. Whoever invented these race car carts, thank you. You are a genius. And I honestly mean that. You could teach those people who design the kid carts at Target and Lowe's a thing or two.

Wednesday was pretty much spent at home. Avery Claire took a nap that day because a few days of no naps caught up to her.

It warmed up and Dusty started working on Avery Claire's new swing set. The Haithcocks came over and he had help for a few hours...the boys worked and the girls went for ice cream!

We did let the boys go with us to eat dinner.

Sorry for the bluriness of this picture...as if we didn't have enough new toys, we bought a bag of beads and a bag of pipe cleaners for an indoor spring break activity. Moms of littles, this provided hours of entertainment!

Thursday, we had to go by the urologist to leave a urine sample. I don't think I've even blogged about that business, but for now, all is good. Say a quick prayer right now please that all stays that way!! Avery Claire didn't mind that trip at all because she got TWO pieces of chocolate for being so big.

We went to the local Children's Musuem. I think we'll be buying a pass for the summer because this girl had too much fun!!!

Her poor Daddy spent most of his spring break working on her swing set. He did have company for some of the time. They even had dinner outside Thursday night so he could get even more done!

Today, we headed to Clay County to spend Easter.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Avery Claire!!

 photo IMG_0732_zpscb90de71.jpg
The birthday girl chose Bojangles for breakfast, so we were up and at 'em early this morning. We love having a birthday during Spring Break!!
 photo IMG_0738_zps6f8d5c34.jpg

After Matt and Sarah went home, we got ready to head to Chuck E. Cheese....because every birthday should involve Chuck E. Cheese, right? And it was 50 degrees outside, so is there a better way to spend the day you turn 3?

Don't let her bored looks fool you. She had a ball!

She's not the only one who had a ball and asked for more tokens {and I'm not talking about that 12 year old boy}.

She was worn out on the way to her choice for dinner.

You guessed it! McDonalds...because if you eat all your supper, you get an ice cream cone!!

And if it's your birthday, you get a cupcake when you get home. photo DSC_0287_zps1c956c15.jpg

Avery Claire Davis, Mommy and Daddy cannot believe you're 3. The past 3 years have absolutely flown by and been the best of our lives because of you. We are so proud of the absolutely perfect mix of sweet, funny, spunky, independent, sensitive, helpful little girl that you are. You could not begin to imagine how much we love you and how very much we look forward to watching you grow up. We thank God He sent you to us.
