Go Bama!

We made it home in time to watch the Iron Bowl last night. Here's what Bennett thought about it.
We were excited that the Tide pulled out the win over Auburn!!

We made it to early church this morning! This little guy went to the nursery today! There are some sweet, sweet ladies in there that loved on him!

This is her new pose.

Happy Thanksgiving 2014

First of all, we need a bus for these trips. You can't even begin to tell how packed the car was from this picture.

Grandma got some snuggle time in.

I wish I had a video of Avery Claire singing "a short braid never bothered me anyway." Aunt Steph's hair is long enough for an Elsa braid, but it's still not as long as Elsa's. So she sang to Avery Claire "a short braid never bothered me anyway" and Avery Claire loved that. She sang it all weekend.

I am such a lucky girl. I couldn't be more blessed with my sweet husband and our babies.

Keith and Jane's bedroom is the ultimate playroom.

These two are two peas in a pod. I think they could handle themselves for days with no assistance.

Cousin picture!! It's hard to get to babies happy and fed at the same time to get a good picture!

We tried one more time before we left today.

Bryant: 10 weeks
Bennett: 6 weeks (tomorrow)

Traveling with a baby means you may have to stop randomly and suddenly. So we made the most of our time by checking out the Christmas decor and practicing tying our shoes.

Sidenote: Steph, Dusty almost refused to stop here because this was the Jack's that I "showed out" at...remember, I asked for jelly. How embarrassing!!

Our Friend Santa, Our Friend Snowman & Bennett Goes to Church

This is Bennett's "really, mom?" face.

Avery Claire has asked me to please take her and Bennett to Walmart and wear him in the Ergo. Daddy went to a game Friday night, so we headed to Walmart to get what we needed. As we walked down the aisle, she said "this is sooo embarrassing." How old is she, really? So we sent Dad a picture - he would be embarrassed, too. That's where she gets it from.

Bennett was sporting his football shirt in support of Bama today.

Avery Claire's old Santa friend made his appearance this week. She loves him still!!

And this is kicker for this weekend. Dusty got up Saturday morning and told Avery Claire they were going to Lowe's. They came back with this. It's a TEN FOOT blow up yard snowman. This was done without my approval. I'm not a fan of yard blow-ups. But when I saw her excitement, I couldn't say one negative thing. Out loud, anyway.

We went to eat dinner Saturday night. It was a success.

And we made it to church for the first time today!! We just figured Bennett would sleep the whole time, so we took him with us instead of to the nursery. As soon as the singing was over and our pastor stood up, he started whimpering. So we got him out and Daddy held/bounced him during the service. We made it til the end!
How do babies know when you need them to sleep? They have a 6th sense about it and they're not gonna do it!

Bennett: One Month

Bennett, how are you already 1 month old?!
At one month, you:
- weigh around 10 pounds, I'd guess. You go to the doctor in about a week and a half, so we'll see.
- eat 3-4 ounces every 3 hours or so. We nursed for awhile, but after we saw how much more satisfied you were from a bottle, Mommy has been pumping to get your milk.
- are the sweetest little snuggler. You are not a fan of sleeping alone, so I'm just soaking in the snuggles. We'll worry about getting you in your bed later.

- will just fall asleep wherever, whenever {as long as you're in someone's arms}. It's a good thing, cause your sister may be a little rowdy sometimes. I'm glad you can sleep through it all.

- make the funniest faces. Daddy jokingly, lovingly, calls you "turtle" because you pucker your little lips and move your head around so slowly, just like a turtle. You're the cutest little turtle we've ever seen. {but we're gonna stop calling you that because we do NOT want that to stick}.

- love the ceiling fan, just like your sister did!

- are pretty easy-going. You can eat with a big sister all in your grill, rubbing your head, and hugging you.

- are so sweet and precious. We are so very in love with you, our sweet little man. We can't even remember life before you and we're so glad God sent you to us.=

Wubble & Celebrating the Small Things

A sweet lady that we go to church with that teaches with Dusty send Avery Claire a wubble. She was SO EXCITED!! She's been asking for one and had put it on her Christmas list.

In case you're wondering, t's a really cool thing. Not a really cool indoor thing, but very fun!!

And, we had both babies in the bed before 9 pm tonight. The little one didn't last very long, but let's celebrate the small things, right?

Lazy Weekend

Couldn't you eat him up with a spoon?

We sent Daddy a good luck picture Friday before their big game. It's been hard for me and Avery Claire to miss the games!

Here's how Mama gets a bath when Daddy isn't home...just hoping every whimper doesn't mean I've got to hurry up and get out.

Look at the rolls little man is getting on those chicken legs.

The game didn't go our way...but we did all get to sleep past 8:00 Saturday morning!!! It was glorious.

We were pretty much lazy all day. Here's where I found sister after lunch.

We got Dusty to get down our Christmas stuff this weekend. Avery Claire was so excited to get her nativity scene back out!

Push Present

My baby boy is a cuddler. I absolutely love it.

Do you see that sparkle? My sweet hubby gave me diamond earrings for my push present. I love them and I love that he makes me feel like he's so proud of me.

I really couldn't be more proud that he's mine. Not to be mushy, but y'all...I could not do it without him. He is so good to us. My babies couldn't have asked for a better Daddy. No matter how exhausted or out of patience I might be, he always makes me laugh and reminds me of what's important and what's not worth stressing over. I love our life more than I could ever say

Daddy doesn't mind the cuddling, either.

Weight Check #3 {with BOTH kids} & Daycare Registration

Bennett's appointment wasn't until 11:15. I had plans to go by Target before we went to the doctor's office. Y'all...we were a minute late to our appointment and we didn't go anywhere beforehand. I've got some work to do before I go back to work.

Avery Claire is off today {for Veteran's Day}, Dusty had practice, so I was on my own. And between pumping, feeding, burping, and getting us all dressed....whew. I know people do it with 3+ kids. How?

Check out those cowgirl boots?!

We stopped for lunch so both kids could eat.

Here's what this one did during lunch. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 oz. Dr. Hamilton said anything over 8.4 would've been great!
