Abby came for a visit today. She got in a little practice for when Baby Girl Stewart joins her in July (or maybe late June!).

Avery Claire's First Bath

Tonight, Daddy, Mommy, and Nana gave Avery Claire her first bath. We just knew she'd get upset because she did not like her first bath at the hospital. But she loved it!! She just watched us while we bathed her. She loved getting her hair scrubbed with the scrub brush. We were so proud of her!!

Today, our cousin Misty came for a visit. She has 3 boys, so she had fun snuggling a little girl!

Avery Claire spent the night in the pack-n-play in our room. We had an awesome first night! She got up a couple of times to eat and slept so soundly!

We're Home

We were finally able to leave the hospital today a little before 3:00! We were more than ready to take this baby girl home!

She loves to ride! She didn't make a peep on the way home.

Aunt Stephanie just texted and said Miss Avery Claire arrived at 7:19 pm and she said she is beautiful! Avery Claire weighs 7 pounds 13 ounces and is 21 inches long! She also has lots of dark hair!

Brooke felt "pains" early this morning and she and Dusty are now at the hospital waiting on the arrival of Avery Claire!

Classroom Shower

Yesterday, my sweet kiddos and their parents threw me a baby shower. Avery Claire got so much cute stuff! Thank you, everyone, for my shower! It's been so good to see you this week!

38 weeks, 4 Days Ultrasound

This little girl is getting very squished in there!! Dusty went with us to the doctor today, to make sure he got one last look at Avery Claire on an ultrasound. We saw another doctor (who we liked), but we had to wait a really long time!

Everything still looks great. Avery Claire weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. (Remember, she may weigh up to a pound more or less when she arrives!) She is ready to meet the world.

I'm still not dilated, but things are definitely working that way! Yea! My cervix is 60% effaced (thinned) and it's turning from a posterior to anterior position, which means that Avery Claire can move into the birth canal. I lost my mucus plug (doesn't that sound lovely? Probably too much info!), so that's another plus towards dilation!

I'll see Dr. Frazier again next Monday (late afternoon) - she'll be back in town!

We're in the single digit countdown - 9 days away from our due date!

Best moment this week: Seeing Avery Claire on the ultrasound, of course! Getting all things ready around the house.
Milestones: Today, Avery Claire weighs 7lbs, 4 oz. Her lungs are mature and she is ready for the outside world.

Happy Spring!

Boy, have we been busy around here! Since we're less than two weeks away from our due date(!Oh, my!), I've personally taken away a few of my restrictions. After all, today is the first day of spring, and our nesting instincts have officially kicked in...not sure if it's a good thing to want to spring clean and nest at the same time! I'm really not overdoing it...Dusty has done all of the heavy/hard work, I promise.

We've cleaned out cabinets and drawers, cleaned out the garage, cleaned blinds and ceiling fans, and we're having someone lay tile in the kitchen and bathrooms next week. (I know...could we not have decided to handle this project a little earlier?!) So, we're really, finally officially ready for baby...as soon as the tile project is at least underway!

Look who's loving this spring weather! We're trying to get in plenty of 'Win time' while we can!

Can you tell how much lower Avery Claire is?! 35 weeks is when Dr. Frazier and the sonographer both commented on her being much lower. At 35 weeks (the pic on the left), there was definitely more room between my chest and baby. Now, at 38 weeks (pic on the right), I can lay my hand flat below my chest - very weird!! But that just lets us know she's even lower! She has to be running out of room in there!
