Cleaned Up!

Brother Win got a good bath last night from Daddy! And it was about time! He was so dirty!!

And it looks like after I had a bowl of this...

I'll need to get cleaned up, too! What do you think?!

Happy 9 Weeks!

Avery Claire, at 9 weeks:

- you weigh 12.2 pounds
- are sleeping in your bed (for most of the night, anyway! Yea!! Sometimes, after you eat about 3 or 4, you come back to bed with Mommy and Daddy...depends how hard it is for Mommy to hold her eyes open
- you are such a morning baby!! This morning, I walked in your room at 4:15 to feed you, and you gave me the biggest smile! That makes Mommy love early mornings, too! I didn't mind one bit that I was up at 4 a.m.!
- love to eat your hand! I have a hard time getting a picture of you without your hand in your mouth!

-are very wishy-washy about riding in your carseat. Most of the time, you're good with it....sometimes, it makes you furious that you can't stretch those arms and legs out!

-are strong! I'm afraid you're going to break something on your playmat when you pull on the toys!

- are wearing size 1 diapers
- not a napper! You fight sleep BIG time!! Mommy and Daddy have discovered that standing close to the dryer while it's running and bouncing you usually helps you to fall asleep.
- are wearing your headbands and bows like a little princess lately! Our little talk must have worked!

- have a very serious look sometimes. You're probably thinking "could you people be any crazier?!"

- have the most perfect little lips!
- went to school last week to visit Mommy's students. They kept saying how little you were!
- still love the ceiling fans! Sometimes, they distract you while you're eating!
- usually get up once during the night, around 3 or 4
- are growing so fast!! Mommy and Daddy love to watch you change and learn every day! You mean the world to us and we love you to the moon and back!

Birthday Dinner

Tonight, we went to eat for Daddy's birthday!! I gave my serious look for a few minutes, took a little bit of my bottle, and fell asleep until we got back home!

Emma was so excited to give Daddy a birthday card! She was so sweet and kept telling my Mommy and Daddy "I'm so glad you had a baby!"

Today, my Daddy turns the big 3-0!!!!!!!!! He thinks he's getting old, but I think he's pretty perfect!

I get my best naps in his lap...

And I love for him to read to me! He likes to read a book to me, and then he tells me stories...about the Red Sox World Series wins, and the Patriots Super Bowl wins...

I hope he doesn't quiz me on that stuff, 'cause I'm not sure I can remember all of that trivia!

2 Months Ago Today...

we met our sweet Avery Claire! And we've fallen more in love with her every day since then!!

Three more days of school and Daddy's out for the summer!!

Pretty Baby

There's nothing sweeter...

...than the smell of a clean baby girl!!

And this baby girl loves to get clean!!

This is her "Oh, no! I didn't want to get out and dry off!" look!

Kangaroo?

No, we're not kangaroos, but we might remind you of them! This is one of those things that I've always made fun of (and Dusty still does), but...

We've had the Baby Bjorn for awhile, and Avery Claire liked to sleep in it. But now, she can face forward in it, and she really likes it! So does Mommy 'cause she can really get some things done around the house and carry her sweet baby girl around with her!!

Happy 8 Weeks!

Avery Claire, at 8 weeks, you:

- weigh ll pounds, 12 ounces

- make the sweet cooing noises! I can just imagine your sweet little voice!

- have found your hands and love to put them in your mouth!

- are such a happy little girl - you love to smile at us!

- really love the Baby Bjorn now that you can face forward

- are finally okay with wearing your headbands (for now, anyway)! Yea!!

- realize when someone puts you down...and you don't always like it!

- love to watch the lights on your swing.

- are getting better at holding the paci in!

- like to sit in the Bumbo seat

- are pretty good at holding your head up by yourself

- love your bath!

- have figured out how to stick your tongue out...and you use that tongue to push your bottle around!

- had your two month shots today! Your eyes have been wet from crying before, but your first big crocodile tear rolled down your cheek after those shots, and Mommy had to fight back tears herself! You were so pitiful! (See battle wound proof below)

- are a mover and shaker! If you're awake, your hands and feet never stop moving! (See blur below!)

- have been asleep in your bed for an hour and five minutes as I write this post!! Yea for you. Even if you wake up right now, we've accomplished something!

- are the most precious thing in this world to your Mommy and Daddy! We love you so very much, sweet girl!

Meet the Doctor

I had to go back to the doctor today, so we made sure to get Avery Claire's picture with Dr. Wakefield, who delivered her. He snatched her out of my arms as soon as he walked in and started talking to her - we love him!
