Happy 1st Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

Last night, our little duck got all dressed up to go trick-or-treating!

Couldn't you just squeeze those cute little ducky cheeks?

She was amazed by her webbed feet and wanted so badly to get those in her mouth!

Strawberry Shortcake (a.k.a. Emma) stopped to trick-or-treat.

We loaded up the duck and made a couple of stops.

We stopped by the Goodwin's. They have a dog, and they had family visiting that had two more dogs. Avery Claire was amazed! She loves to watch Win, and she thought these dogs were so funny! I so wish I'd had the video camera so you could hear her giggles and squeals when the dog licked her hand! It was too sweet!

We also stopped by daycare, but we didn't get pictures there! They were excited to see Avery Claire in her Halloween costume!

We had a tired little trick-or-treater on our hands when we got home!

After being sick last week, it's taken Avery Claire until yesterday to get back to her usual, happy self. At the beginning of the week, she didn't want to be left alone at all. Not that we leave her alone for more than 10 seconds to get toothpaste on the toothbrush or take something out of the oven, but she didn't like it! We are used to a little girl who is content to chill by herself for just a minute! She's been a little cranky, which really isn't like her.

Each day this week, she's gotten a little more like her old self.
See, she was happy as long as we were right in front of her or holding her.







Or if we were outside! So, we went on a little walk Wednesday afternoon.

Last night, she was back! Mommy and Avery Claire skipped the game last night because it's too cold and windy for those little ears! We stayed home and played and had the best time, even though we missed Daddy! We were so happy to hear that the Golden Tigers beat Florence!! Go Golden Tigers!

Avery Claire is such a big girl! Today, when I went in to get her at daycare, she was eating a cracker! She took a big bite of a Club cracker and I almost fainted. That's not something we've done at home with her yet 'cause we're too anxious about "real" food. I guess it's a good thing they assumed we'd given her crackers. I was almost upset about it, but she was loving that cracker. Guess we'll need to get her some at home! She thinks she can feed herself with her spoon, too!
