2 Year Stats {and a Mommy/Daddy Milestone}

Last Friday, Avery Claire had her two year well check. We saw Dr. Crenshaw {of no relation that we know of}. She's one of our favorites at the pediatrician's office!
Avery Claire's stats were:
Weight:29 lbs, 9 oz (80th percentile)
Height:35 3/4 inches (90th percentile)
Head Circumference: 19 1/8 in (75th percentile)

Dr. Crenshaw declared Avery Claire a very tall, healthy girl! We already knew she was perfect! And we don't really even think about her height until they measure her and talk about how tall she is. We have noticed that she is almost as tall or as tall as the 3 year olds at daycare.
We love every little inch of our sweet girl! {I didn't ask her to strike these poses. These are all hers.}

These are the shoes she picked out of my closet to wear Friday afternoon at home. She went and dug out the matching pair for me to wear. Aren't they lovely?

Dusty and I reached a big milestone last night in our workout lives. The year before I got pregnant, we started working out at the fieldhouse 3-4 times a week. We lifted weights, did lunges, that kind of thing. We got in pretty good shape...or so we thought. I got pregnant that summer and we haven't done a thing but chase a busy girl around since then. A few weeks ago, we casually discussed beginning P90X. After all, we've had the disks for about 3 years now.

30 days ago {last night}, we started the classic P90X program. We've made it 1/3 of the way through our 90 days, which is about 28 more days than we thought we'd make it when we started. Especially after the first Plyometrics workout. And considering that we don't get started until after Avery Claire goes to bed.

I think we both kind of expected to lose weight. We haven't really lost a lot of weight. We have, however, noticed a really big difference in ourselves. Each day, the workouts get a little easier to make it through. We notice that we are more flexible as we workout, we can do more reps. We may not be shedding a lot of pounds, but I really think we are building a lot of muscle. We certainly don't look like Mr. Tony Horton, who created P90X. And let's get real. We never will. But we are definitely toning up and getting in shape. We are highly doubtful that we'll make it the full 90 days. But we've surprised ourselves so far. Who knows what we'll look by summer! :-)

I am so excited that you are doing P90X!! There is no workout like a Tony workout with all his "do your best, forget the rest." I did the plyometrics 1 time and HATED every second of it. I really want them to come out with 30 minute DVDs because and hour is sooo long! I'll bet you'll be one hot momma by summer:)

Avery Claire, I love your cute poses! You are such a doll! We are so thankful for our beautiful, healthy 2 year old little girl!
Brooke and Dusty, after watching you exercise for a whole hour, I was quite impressed! Good job! I love you all, Nana
