Happy 12 Weeks!

Avery Claire, at 12 weeks, you:
- weigh 14 pounds!

- coo and gurgle and laugh ALL of the time! We love it!

- love your bath, but hate to get out and dry off. It takes lots of trickery to get your hair dried!


- drank almost 6 ounces for the first time today! You were hungry!
- are sleeping ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! This week, we've worked hard on a schedule, and I think it's agreeing with you. You've been going at least 10 hours between feedings. This morning, I had to wake you up so that our whole day wouldn't be out of whack! Way to go, sweet girl - keep it up!!!!!

- have a strawberry birthmark on the back of your neck. Mommy, Nana, and Uncle Mike found it when we were giving you a bath on the Saturday of our Clay County visit, I just keep forgetting to mention it here. It's hidden by your hair and we have to pull your hair up to see it.

- have done much better about fighting sleep this week, until your Poppa and Nana arrived this afternoon and you were afraid you might miss something fun! As long as you continue to sleep once we get you to sleep, that's okay!
- are taking naps in your room most of the time. We put a shade up in your room so it's really dark when we want it to be during the day. That helps you sleep better, I think. When Mommy puts you on your tummy, you nap wherever she is!!

- are strong! If you get a grip on something, good luck getting it from you!

- are LOVING your rice cereal (with fruit flavor)!! You gobble it up in the morning and at night!
- are a slobber-er! You drool and blow bubbles constantly.
- love to sit up (with our help). You'd much rather be held facing the front so you can see what's going on around you. None of that cuddling with you until you're really sleepy!
- are liking your paci! We have to carefully remove it from your mouth when you get to sleep so you won't wake up when it falls out!
- are so much fun! Mommy and Daddy spend our days just talking and playing with you! We love you more than life, Avery Claire Davis!!
