9 month well check

We saw Dr. Crenshaw today. Dr. Colvard is on vacation for Christmas, I guess!
Dr. Crenshaw said Avery Claire:
- weighs 19 lbs, 12 oz (75th percentile).
- is 28 & 1/2 inches tall (80th percentile).
-'s head measured (90th percentile).
- is tall and just absolutely perfect!
- 's hemoglobin test was perfect - this measures her iron levels.
- is friendlier than most 9 month old babies that she sees. Avery Claire didn't hesitate to jump into Dr. Crenshaw's arms and pat her face.
- is ready for some "real" fruits and veggies.

Avery Claire got a new book, which she loves, of course!




Poor baby! We were told she didn't have to get shots today...we were not told she had to get her finger pricked for the hemoglobin test. Really, folks, couldn't that wait so there could be one, just one, well visit that didn't require a stick?!

You can probably see the big crocodile tears from here. And the bandaid wrapped around her little finger.

We had lunch with Lorie and Chloe yesterday. During my 2 years teaching in Decatur, Lorie and I spent 2 hours together in the car every day, Monday-Friday. There aren't many topics we haven't covered and I love getting to spend time with her to catch up!

Please pray for our cousin, Jeanette. She was airlifted to B'ham Sunday after her heart stopped. She was without oxygen and doctors are unsure of the damage to her heart and her brain. Her family would appreciate any thoughts and prayers you could send her way! Prayer is an awesome thing!
