I love these two...

I must be the luckiest girl on earth. As you may have noticed, I am the Mommy to the cutest little girl alive...
You may not know that I have the best husband in the world, though. He does read the blog, but I'm not saying this 'cause I want something! I just wanted you to know...
Not only does he do things like go to WalMart with the grocery list, wash, dry, and fold towels/clothes, take the garbage out every day, vacuum the floors, etc., he's also the best Daddy I could have ever dreamed of for our little girl.
He reads books like Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? over and over and over.

He bathes, feeds, and dresses our baby girl (and these aren't easy tasks).
He takes his little girl to see Santa on one of the busiest shopping Saturdays of the year.
He's a jungle gym or a pillow...whatever she needs.

He sits close by and makes sure his little girl doesn't fall down and bump her head.

He lets her learn by exploring his face.

He spends quality time with his little girl all of the time.

I could seriously go on and on and on...those are just the things he's done this week. And even though he might catch some grief for this post, I just wanted you to know how lucky I feel and how grateful I am for these two.

Last year, on the 15th of December, I went to the doctor for a follow-up blood pressure check. Well, as you know, my blood pressure was high and Dr. Frazier suggested that I take some time off of work. She told me she'd want to see me weekly to check the baby's progress. I talked her into letting me finish out the remaining three days at work before the holidays. To say we were in shock was the understatement of the year. We were absolutely terrified. I hope I never have that feeling ever again in my life! I'm a pretty laid-back person, but I've never had such a hard time holding myself together (not that I did a great job of it then). These days of "bed rest" were when I first really realized how awesome my husband is.

Anyway...I think I'm entitled to feel a little emotional and sentimental today...look how things turned out:

My sweet husband and I have a perfect, happy, healthy, (almost) 9 month old baby girl who gets dirty at daycare and loves to "give love" to her baby doll. Life couldn't be any sweeter and more precious than that.

I am going to need to know where that zebra print outfit came from!!! Avery, I want you to know that back in the day I would have to go through a screening process with your daddy before Aunt Steph was given the phone when I would call. It was always, "What do you need to talk to her about?" HAHA!
