Life

You probably wonder why it's taken almost a month for us to pack up one house. We do have a lot of stuff. The term "hoarders" comes to mind, especially after I watched some of the marathon Sunday. But mostly, we're still trying to enjoy summer in the midst of packing.

We went to visit the Scott's last Friday to swim. It was a little cloudy, so we swam a little and played a little. Avery Claire thought she was as big as Chloe and her cousin, Abby. And we may be calling cousin Anna to babysit - Avery Claire thought Anna hung the moon, and Anna was amazing with her! {Why I didn't get a picture of the two of them, I don't know.}

Avery Claire was one worn out girl when we got in the car. She was wide open again, though, when I put her in her bed at home!

I think I failed to tell you about my husband's run-in with the neighbor. Literally, Dusty was driving down the road and our neighbor backed out of his driveway into D's truck. This was June 1st. Why, you might ask, are we just getting this fixed? Because of tornado damage to vehicles, the approved body shop couldn't fix D's truck until this week...just when we need it for moving. You can't fit much in the Mazda 6 he picked up at Enterprise. And you sure can't hitch a trailer to it.

And, in the middle of packing, my helpers sometimes get distracted...

Avery Claire loves to unpack as I pack. And she loves to build forts with and stomp on the boxes. It's probably really fun to climb in them, too, if only I could fit.

This is my husband/other helper. If you ask him, he might tell you he's in charge. Most of the hoarding tendencies belong to him. I try to get him to put old things in the yard sale pile. He tells me that things hold no sentimental value for me. Take this Tommy Hilfiger jacket, for example. It's at least 12 years old. It was a great jacket back in the day. I tell him we've left the day.

He wanted to be sure he pointed out that the hood just rolls right back up and velcroes into the collar.

And this dandy? It was, also, great back in the day.

He agreed to part with the Tommy jacket, but this coat he just couldn't give up. Don't tell him, but some lucky yard sale customer will get this soon for a very thrifty deal!

And OJ's gloves were found in the pocket.

Avery Claire thought this sight was too funny.

My sweet, silly little girl...

Please notice she is "talking" on the calculator phone - with her USA headband on...so sweet!

She likes to help take pictures, sometimes.

Couldn't you just eat those leg rolls up?

Those sweet legs have to have 15 month shots tomorrow. Again, why didn't we do this sooner? We really couldn't, because it's just now been 3 months since her 12 month check up.

It's a good thing our girl is flexible, go-with-the-flow. Some kids might not take too kindly to their "high chair" being put in the floor without its cover.

These are some of the cutest pictures of Avery Claire, she is really tired after that swimming and playing. So many different looks, she is a doll. Brooke, Dusty has always had a problem getting rid of his stuff. I have several jackets still in his closet in Delta. Hope the doctor doesn't hurt those beautiful little legs tomorrow Avery Claire, love you baby girl. Can't wait to see you. Mema

Ha!! Ben does the same thing! He still has some clothes from highschool!! He doesn't wear them, but likes to hang onto them "just incase". That's so funny! Oh, and yes . . . I could definitely eat up those little rolls on Avery Claire's legs! Sooooo cute!

Ummmm...hoarder??? Bryan Amason is one of those!!!!!! When we went to the Bahamas in 1998 (yes, that's right. 13 years ago!), I forgot to put his shirts in the bag!!! SO, when we got there he bought a few. The other day he was working in the yard and what do you know??? He had on one of them!!! Jason asked us if we dry cleaned all of our clothes because nobody still has shirts that are 13 years old and them still be sewed together!!! We all got a good laugh!!!!

Avery Claire, you are so sweet!! You even make packing and moving fun!! Love those precious little legs! Nana spent a few days in Russellville with you all! We had so much fun! I went to your doctor visit with you & your mommy! You are such a healthy & happy girl! We are so thankful for you! It broke Nana's heart to see you cry after your shots! Your feelings were so hurt. Before long, you were back to your silly, happy self! Love you all, Nana
