6 Month Well Check

We went for Avery Claire's 6 month well visit today.

Official Stats:

16 pounds, 12 ounces (70th percentile)

Length:26 and 3/4 inches (80th percentile)

Head circumference: 17 and 1/4 inches (80th percentile)

Dr. Colvard gave Avery Claire a book. He is really so sweet. He spent time looking at it with her and letting her touch the different pages.

He was impressed with her motor skills. She really does know how to hold the book and tries to turn the pages. He said she has a very strong trunk and will be sitting up very soon. He laughed because she kept her feet crossed when he lifted her to sit up- she'd rather stand up than sit down!


He said her eye color will probably stay about the same. He said, "I think she'll be carbon copy of you, Mom!"

Ummmm, Dr. Colvard, you've obviously forgotten seeing her dad?! She may be looking more like me, but she's more a carbon copy of her Daddy!

Poor baby had to get 3 shots, for which she held her breath, then let yelped, then screamed!!

We are so thankful for a healthy, happy baby girl!!
