Snowed In

The weathermen & women were right!! Winter weather in the form of powdery, fluffy, beautiful snow arrived last night...and it looks like it's going to take awhile to leave us! We got around 8 inches of snow. It's the most we've ever seen! This snow is almost too "dry" to build a snowman...it just kind of falls apart in your hands.
From the front door - the sidewalk and it's lights are completely covered.

Could you not just eat her up?!?!?!!

She sat so still while Mommy and Daddy suited up to go outside (because she had on too many clothes to move!).

Our sweet neighbor Emily walked over to see Avery Claire - can you tell how excited she was to see her coming?

She took a family picture for us:

Brother Win had a nasty encounter with a neighbor dog while he was out playing in the snow. After Emily's husband investigated, we think he entered the yard of a dog with new puppies - that Mommy dog gave him a big gash in his neck!

He was pretty pitiful for awhile - can you tell from these pictures?

We were very glad his injury wasn't worse because it would have been near to impossible to get him to a vet today!
