Getting Ready for Brother

Thursday, after gym, we went to eat dinner with some of Avery Claire's sweet little friends. She was so excited - can you tell?

Then we had to make a Target run. Avery Claire wanted to buy Bennett a dump truck for his birthday, and we needed a birthday party present for this weekend and a couple of last minute things for Bennett's room.

Friday night, Avery Claire went to Becca and Daniel's so we could go on a date. Y'all, if you don't have a Becca in your life, you're missing out. She sent me a message early in the week and said "We're keeping Avery Claire Friday night. Y'all plan a date night." We could all learn lessons in selflessness and thoughtfulness from sweet Becca. And my child thinks she hung the moon, which makes a mama's heart happy to have a close, close-by friend that loves your baby like she does. They had a campfire, made s'mores, and carved a pumpkin. Avery Claire had so much fun. Thanks, Becca and Daniel, for loving our girl.

We went to see Gone Girl. Wow.

And because we seem to keep some kind of cold/sickness throughout fall/winter, Avery Claire came home with a fever Friday night. I could tell in her eyes when we picked her up that she might have one. So we took some tylenol and snuggled for a bit when we got home.

She seemed okay Saturday morning, and we had more errands to run. We went by for chicken minis, of course!
We went home where this chick took over a 2 hour nap before we had to head to a birthday party for her friend Brooke.

And I finally sat down and got these outfits done. Obviously, we didn't have to have them right now, but I know I won't have time to get things like this done after Bennett arrives, so I was determined to get them done with weekend!
