He hasn't been forgotten...

...he's just been holed up in the basement to avoid the cold weather for the entire month of January!

Can you see the sticks he's gathered? And the flip flop that he discovered that blew off the porch? He likes to have all of his possessions close by while he naps, in case anyone comes to try to take something from him! In this picture, he's thinking, "Is she about to come down here and try to get this flip flop? Is she going back inside, or do I really need to get up and grab it?"

He has no idea about the little girl that's coming to change life as he knows it! We've spoiled him now, though, to the point that we'll have to keep it up somewhat. As long as he doesn't have to stay out in the ice, snow, or rain, he's happy!
