Breakfast {and other stuff}

Avery Claire loves breakfast food. She would eat pancakes for any meal of the day, I think. She loves waffles (preferably blueberry). She loves scrambled eggs and biscuits. Saturday she tried toast with butter and grape jelly - it was a hit.

She likes to snack, too. Doesn't matter if it's in a bowl or spilled on the floor.

She also loves to put things into cabinets, bowls, etc. If it can hold an object, she'll find something to put in it. You never know what you might find when you open a cabinet in our house.

And one of her very favorite things is to ride in the laundry basket. We have to make sure not to leave empty ones sitting around unless we're ready to pull it around and around and around until we can distract her and put it up.

She's also taken a new interest in the bench Uncle Mike gave her for Christmas, since she can climb onto it all by herself. (We had to pull out the only winter outfits that still fit this week. It's the middle of May and the high is 59).

My third grade class (and three others) went on a field trip Monday. We went to Texas Roadhouse and to the Splash Pad/ park. Needless to say, we only got to play on the playground. You can't play in the water at the splash pad when the temp is below 60 degrees. As much as I am in need of a break (and there are only 8 days with kids left), I have such a good class and I will miss my kiddos!

If you're a teacher and need an easy, cheap field trip, this one is awesome!

The pictures of Avery Clair riding in the laundry basket brought back fun memories. My boys used to love to ride in the laundry basket when they were her age too. They never wanted us to stop. They would just sit in it and scream until we pushed them again . . . good workout for us I guess :)
